About Angie

*me*

I’m a little Belgian geekette, completely in love with nature and with my Macs. I promote a healthy lifestyle which is respectful of all living things, and ecological as well. I also like and promote good foods & habits. I’m into vegetarism, raw & Indian, foreign foods & spirituality/Buddhism…

As much as I am curious, I always try and dig deep into the things that I find interesting. I try to measure the environmental impact of every single choice I make : I want and continuously try to live consciously, that is. I question my/our ways of living and of doing things on a permanent basis.
Many articles are written within this frame of mind. My aim is never to debunk a topic, but rather to bring constructive ideas and thoughts, and to explore the possibilities, as tools for making better choices.

The reasons behind my thinking are, that, it is now time, more than ever, to change our ways of living and our consumption habits. There are over 6 billions of us, living on this planet, and we simply can’t afford a mindless lifestyle, where we selfishly destroy and waste resources carelessly, as if they were going to last forever. This is simply not the case. The Earth and environment are now more fragile than ever, and they need our help, for the balance that we have destroyed, through centuries of non-respect and abuse of our resources, to be restored.
We can no longer act like an ostrich : head buried deep in the sand, denying all that is happening around us, rejecting responsibility, blaming others and justifying that we didn’t do nor choose what is happening. We all have our share of doings in our current crisis : through our every day choices, and even when we don’t react and let the world be destroyed before our very eyes.

I invite my readers to a permanent reflection. My subjects are not always very joyful, but they are realistic and reflect on what is happening the world over, and why. I also, regularly, include a practical approach to living a greener life : a lot of tiny things that can be done daily to improve our planet and live with a better health while saving money in the long run. We need to profoundly understand where our long-term benefit lies and act with love and compassion, as of today. “The world does not belong to us, we borrow it from our children” as someone that I can’t remember once said.

If you have suggestions and ideas, I am all open to hearing what it is you have to recommend, so feel free to take a few minutes to send an e-mail, I will give it my best attention.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy reading this blog, and I hope you find here many inspiring ideas on how to brighten up your life, in a green way !

Lots of love,
Angie
